WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 /Standard Newswire/ -- Candidates and office holders should be judged by their positions and views on the issues, not their faith traditions.
 
The Constitution makes it clear that there should be no "religious litmus test" for federal office holders.
 
The fact that many Americans would not vote for a candidate who embraces the Mormon faith shows how far America has to go with respect to embracing religious tolerance.
