EAU CLAIRE, Wis., Dec. 10, 2019 /Standard Newswire/ -- God Country Family Christian Film Festival is delighted to announce the winners of the 2nd annual event. The festival took place at Micon Downtown Cinema in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, from December 6 to 8. It was presented by WWIB 103.7FM Radio.

God Country Family's top honor, the "Best Film" award, was captured by the faith-based, action-packed, and Second Amendment friendly feature THE RELIANT. The film stars fan favorite Kevin Sorbo (GOD'S NOT DEAD).

Jude Okwudiafor Johnson was awarded "Best Director" for his uplifting feature debut FRESHMAN YEAR.
The "Best Feature Documentary" award was won by the inspiring PRAY: THE STORY OF PATRICK PEYTON.
Another important documentary, AMERICAN FAMILY REVIVAL, won the fest's "Independent Spirit Award."
The stunning cinematic adaptation of God commanding Abraham to slay Isaac, A FATHER'S SACRIFICE, took "Best Short Film." And "Best Short Documentary" went to the First Amendment championing 5 REASONS WHY WE NEED HATE SPEECH.
David Sipos won "Best Director - Short Film" for his moving docudrama MY HEART IS NOT AFRAID.
While the mesmerizing 3:0 won "Best Animated Short." The award for "Best Military Short" went to the powerful SALUTE. While MENTORING MEN FOR MISSION captured "Best TV/Web Content." And "Best Music Video" was awarded to the touching CAROLE, from talented singer/songwriter Chaislyn Jane.
A "Special Jury Mention" was directed at the uncompromising short film REAL COURAGE.
God Country Family Christian Film Festival also includes a feature and short screenplay competition.
A SHERIFF'S WAR, written by J. Jermaine Jones, won the feature screenplay competition. The competition's 1st runner-up was THE RANGER, written by Timothy Buck. And A MANGER MIRACLE, written by Jeanne Dukes, was 2nd runner-up.
The short screenplay competition was won by NUMBER 28, written by Fred Perry. THE LOOK OF LOVE written by James E. Clark, was that competition's 1st runner-up. And 2nd runner-up was OPEN MIKE written by Timothy Buck and Barry McKenna.
