BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 19, 2023 /Standard Newswire/ -- Gloo, the leading technology platform dedicated to connecting the faith ecosystem and releasing its collective might, announced its partnership with the Christian music band Casting Crowns to provide concertgoers who are looking for prayer, resources or community the option of connecting with a local church or ministry.
A popular and respected contemporary Christian rock band, Casting Crowns has sold more than 12 million records and won a Grammy Award and multiple Dove Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and American Music Awards. The group Is preparing to kick off its 20th Anniversary Tour: A Live Symphony Experience on September 28. Celebrating a milestone 20-year career in music and ministry, the band will make stops in 20 cities across the country. Casting Crowns will be joined on tour by a live orchestra as it commemorates two decades of its repertoire of chart-topping albums.
"Casting Crowns has done an incredible job serving people in their spiritual journey through its music," said Devon Kline, director of the Gloo Explorer Connection Platform. "We're honored to help extend the work that Casting Crowns does so well by matching concertgoers who want to take a next step with local ministries that are ready to continue the journey with them."
According to Kline, the partnership stemmed from a gap that needed bridging. At every Casting Crowns event, there was a moment when attendees were invited to follow Christ, share their prayer needs, or indicate areas where they needed help. Over time, the band found that helping a growing number of people in each city find local community connections wasn't always easy as it moved to the next concert location.
The group's partnership with Gloo now connects concert attendees to a growing network of local churches and ministries across the U.S. that are equipped to help people with next steps on their journey. As the band kicks off its 20th Anniversary Tour this month, it will leverage the Gloo platform to extend its ministry.
"We love sharing Jesus at our concerts, but we know so much more is needed when the concert is over," said Casting Crowns' leader, Mark Hall. "Gloo has made a way for us to connect our audience to churches, counselors and prayer warriors right there in their hometown. This is a game changer for us!"
To date, there is a network of more than 2,500 responders on the Gloo platform who are providing support in over 1,200 U.S. cities. More than 30 partners like Casting Crowns are using Gloo to connect people with next steps and community, and there have been over 250,000 people connected to date.
