SPARKS, Md., Nov. 3, 2024 /Standard Newswire/ -- Farmer Gabe Brown, who testified before Congress to explain how climate change is affecting farmers and ranchers is one of the pioneers of the current soil health movement and the focus of the red-caped environmental image on the poster for the newly released documentary film COMMON GROUND an uplifting feature-length film focused on the regeneration of our resources. TRAILER.
"I often get asked, 'Is regenerative agriculture too good to be true?' And my answer to that is always, God did not create an imperfect system," said Farmer Brown, author of Dirt to Soil: One Family's Journey into Regenerative Agriculture, and co-founder of the nonprofit Soil Health Academy. "That's what regenerative agriculture is. It's farming and ranching in his image."
Farmer Brown adds, "Back in the mid-nineties, I went through three years of hail and a year of drought and I prayed to God and told him, God, if you would see me through this, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make earth a Kingdom of God."
The film chronicles the budding "Regenerative Agriculture" movement, a type of farming based on working with nature, instead of against it. By using a fusion of ancient wisdom and modern technology, the farmers and ranchers in this movement make more money and grow more nutrient-dense food than their "conventional" farming counterparts.
Gabe, along with his wife Shelly, and son Paul, own and operate Brown's Ranch, a diversified 5,000-acre farm and ranch near Bismarck, North Dakota. The ranch consists of several thousand acres of native perennial rangeland along with perennial pastureland and cropland.
Soil4Climate, Big Picture Ranch and Area 23a present a hopeful and uplifting story of the pioneers of the Regenerative Movement who are known for producing tremendous quantities of nutritionally dense food and working to balance the climate.
This highly anticipated follow-up to Kiss the Ground features appearances and narration by Laura Dern, Jason Momoa, Rosario Dawson, Rich Donald Glover, Ian Somerhalder, and Woody Harrelson. Kiss the Ground, also directed by Josh and Rebecca Tickell, and narrated by Woody Harrelson, won over 75 major film festival awards and was seen by over 100 million viewers on major streaming platforms globally.
