California American Water to Present Grant to Davis' Explorit Science Center

DAVIS, Calif., Aug. 17 /Standard Newswire/ -- California American Water will present a ceremonial check Wednesday to the Explorit Science Center in Davis, the winner of the company's 2009 environmental grant.
California American Water awards its environmental grants to community-based projects that improve, restore or protect watershed areas.
California American Water will present Explorit with $2,500 check for a new streambed table exhibit in the facility's Yocha-De-He Community Fund Wet Lab.
The streambed, which is approximately 9 feet long, will include hands-on experiments designed for elementary age schoolchildren, their families and teachers. Representatives from both organizations will be present to field any questions.
