MEDIA ADVISORY, March 4, 2011 /Standard Newswire/ -- A parental rights documentary entitled The Child: America's Battle for the Next Generation will air nationally Monday, March 7 at 8 pm and midnight ET on NRB Network. The program, produced by Watchman Cinema, explores the threat to parental authority from excessive government involvement in child-rearing, education and other areas. The one and a half-hour broadcast can be seen on DIRECTV channel 378, Sky Angel channel 126 and via live online streaming at www.nrbnetwork.tv.
Created by eighteen year-old homeschool student Grace Tate and a production crew of youngsters ranging in age from 15 to 20, The Child takes an in-depth look at the role of American law and government in the parent-child bond. Tate was inspired to make the film after researching the proposed amendment to the U.S. Constitution to uphold parental rights and discovering pervasive attacks against the fundamental relationship between parents and children.
"Parents and anyone concerned for the family will not want to miss The Child. I believe viewers will be shocked to learn about the threats to parental rights in our country and will walk away informed and empowered. We are blessed to broadcast such a well-produced and important program," said NRB Network President & CEO, Troy A. Miller.
The Child airs on Monday, March 7 at 8:00 pm ET and again at midnight ET on NRB Network which is seen on DIRECTV channel 378, Sky Angel channel 126 or via live online streaming at www.nrbnetwork.tv.
In addition to the national broadcast, screenings of the documentary can be arranged through ParentalRights.org by contacting Jeremiah Lorrig at (540) 338-5600.
