Jackson won the Republican nomination for Lt. Governor of Virginia five years ago, and many believe the speech he gave at the nominating was the key to his victory, winning over many undecided delegates.
Hundreds of thousands are viewing Jackson's spot on TV and social media with "very positive feedback" according to campaign officials. Mr. Jackson believes that he has a hidden vote made up of people who voted for him for Lt. Governor and that these people will vote for him again once they are reintroduced and reminded of who he is. His first ad is designed to do that. "The million people who voted for me for LG did so in spite of how the media and my opponent mischaracterized me. They were committed, and I believe they will be reignited when they realize that I am running for US Senate.
