FAIRFIELD, N.J., June 19, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ -- A new study, Perspectives on Possibility: Public Views on Abortion Reduction, finds 40% of Americans are more inclined to believe abortion rates can be reduced after reviewing insightful initiatives, with 47% neutral. Conducted with adults aged 18 and older, it explores public attitudes toward abortion, factors shaping those views, and supporting initiatives to assist women, men, and families facing unplanned pregnancies.

The survey evaluated 29 initiatives to lower abortion rates, using artificial intelligence to develop, refine, and analyze select approaches, boosting their reach and effectiveness.

The findings inform the Stories of Reflection and Support Action Plan, a multifaceted strategy combining storytelling, scientific perspectives, and community resources to encourage choices that value life.

Sample findings:

• Public Optimism - On this polarizing topic, the survey revealed that 40% of respondents were more inclined to believe abortion rates can be reduced after reviewing the initiatives, while 47% remained neutral and 13% were less inclined.

• Compassionate Reduction Possible - Half of respondents (51%) somewhat or strongly agree that abortion can be reduced with empathy and dignity.­

• Broad Appeal of Storytelling - Sharing stories of individuals who shifted to valuing life emerged as the most widely supported initiative, offering courage and belief to individuals and families that it can be done.

Action Plan Overview:
The Stories of Reflection and Support Action Plan integrates storytelling with practical support, including partnerships to provide free ultrasounds, childcare, counseling, and youth-focused digital outreach. It draws on scientific perspectives, such as fetal development research, and amplifies the White House’s proposed ‘Baby Bonus’ initiative to boost U.S. birth rates, while supporting underserved communities and those with past abortions.
