WASHINGTON, March 31, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ -- The Stanton Public Policy Center plans to lead a candlelight prayer vigil at the United States Supreme Court on the eve of the Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic case.
The candlelight vigil will be on Tuesday, April 1 at 7:00-8:00 PM on the public sidewalk on the 1st St. NE side of the Supreme Court.
1,076 crosses will also be displayed, which symbolize the number of children who die every day from abortion violence at Planned Parenthood.
This is a critical case which could play a major role in the federal defunding of Planned Parenthood.
Brandi Swindell, Founder and CEO of Stanton Public Policy, states:
"As women committed to compassionate, life-affirming healthcare, we gather tonight in prayerful solidarity to shine light on the truths at the heart of Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic. This case is not just about legal precedent—it’s about human dignity and justice. No woman should ever face manipulation, deception, or abuse during her most vulnerable moments.
"At Stanton, we believe women are strong, capable, and worthy of care that honors both their lives and the lives of their children. And we believe that prayer is transformative—it shifts things.
"Tonight, we pray with faith and conviction, knowing that God hears and responds when we contend for truth and justice.”
Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Chief Strategy Officer for Stanton Public Policy, adds:
“Does Congress really want to be giving $700 million dollars annually to an organization that was founded by a racist and eugenicist that provides substandard care to women?
“How many more women have to be injured, receive botched medical care from inadequately trained staff, and even die before Planned Parenthood is defunded?
"Through prayer, we can see God shift, shape and transform history. We will be praying Planned Parenthood is defunded and that $700 million dollars would no longer be given to the largest abortion provider in the world."
