WASHINGTON, July 18, 2023 /Standard Newswire/ -- The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) awarded the first National Golden Rose Award to Khloe Paredes of Miami, Florida. This new award recognizes young women between the ages of fourteen and twenty-one, who exemplify the mission of the NCCW through their spirituality, leadership ability, and acts of service.
Khloe, now age 18, and a 2023 graduate of Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School, is an active member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary/ St. Richard Catholic Church in Palmetto Bay, Florida. She was the head of the music ministry for her high school, led fundraisers to benefit Afghan refugees and Ukraine, and was the National Honor Society President. At graduation, Khloe was honored with the Archdiocese of Miami Catholic Leadership Award, the Archbishop Wenski Award for demonstrating Catholic Leadership and reflecting Catholic values and a Campus Ministry Award for outstanding service.
The National Council of Catholic Women is proud to award the 2023 National Golden Rose Award to such a fine young woman, who freely shares her enthusiasm and dedication to God, His Church, and her family. Khloe will receive a Golden Rose, a four-year individual membership to NCCW, a cover feature and article in the Catholic Woman magazine, gifts from the NCCW store and a check for $100.00 at the 10:30am Mass at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary/ St. Richard Catholic Church in Palmetto, Florida on August 20, 2023.
