PENSACOLA, Fla., May 11, 2021 /Standard Newswire/ -- In partnership with the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, the 2021 Pensacola Theological Institute Conference will examine the controversial 'Revoice' LGBTQ movement within the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) June 16-18 at McIlwain Presbyterian Church located at 1220 East Blount Street in Pensacola, Fla.  Attendance is $55 for individuals, $175 maximum for families.

Drs. Jon Payne and Richard Phillips are ministers in the PCA which as of 2019 had 89 presbyteries, more than 1,500 churches, and over 380,000 members (see pcaac.org/resources/pca-statistics-five-year-summary). They also will discuss sexual identity and purity within the Church. For more information and to register, visit alliancenet.org/One-Voice.

In an article for the Gospel Reformation Network, led by Payne "to cultivate healthy Reformed" PCA churches, he writes, "The sexual revolution has come to the PCA, and it has introduced itself through Revoice ... The controversy over Revoice and the new 'Gay Christian' movement will surely test the mettle of our beloved denomination. Will the PCA end up losing her biblical moorings by embracing doctrine which is a clear departure from the Scriptures?" (See gospelreformation.net/a-time-to-stand.)

The Alliance Executive Director Bob Brady said, "Our desire is that conference attendees may understand what's happening in the Church and be equipped to speak with 'one voice' to our culture."
