WASHINGTON, May 20 /Standard Newswire/ -- Small business operators from outside the Beltway will join House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and other House Republicans TODAY at 2:15pm for a press conference to discuss the destructive effect President Obama's new health care law is having on American small businesses and their ability to create new jobs for Americans who are out of work.
Instead of focusing on job creation as Americans wanted, President Obama and the Democratic Congress spent nearly a year trying to pass a massive government takeover of the health care system. Throughout the debate and since the law's enactment, Boehner, a former small businessman, has warned that the law will hamper small businesses' ability to create new jobs. Last week, American small businesses represented by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) joined more than 20 states in a lawsuit aimed at overturning the president's job-killing health care law.
