ST. LOUIS, Mo., June 17, 2019 /Standard Newswire/ -- Before St. Pio began building the hospital which he called the most important "Work" of his miraculous life, he established an international network of Padre Pio Prayer Groups to provide the most essential foundation that would assure its success: Prayer. "Prayer is the oxygen of the soul," he told his Spiritual Children.
This hospital, which Padre Pio named The Home For The Relief Of Suffering, is being replicated with its permission in the US by Catholic Healthcare International (CHI) as part of its comprehensive Casa USA program. In this same spirit, CHI is enlisting a global army of adorers to worship in chapels around the world before the Eucharist, praying for the success of this inspired vision.
On June 16th, 2019, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, CHI launched the first-ever International Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Program, which invites adorers anywhere in the world to reserve an hour per week to unite in prayerful support of St. Pio's hospital in Italy and the Casa USA initiative being implemented in the United States.
"In that same prayerful charism that enflames Padre Pio's hospital in Italy with the power of grace, we are excited to unite his devotees around the world as prayer warriors in front of the Most Holy Eucharist in support of our work to extend St. Pio's healing ministry to the USA," said CHI President Jere Palazzolo. "As our patron counseled us, 'Only the Catholic Church possesses Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament,' and this supernatural gift is present for our benefit every minute of the day in our Catholic Churches around the world," added the National Coordinator of the US Padre Pio Prayer Groups and CHI Director Fr. Francis Sariego, OFM Cap.
Every Christian in the world is invited to visit the CHI website, join this army of prayer, and reserve an hour to pray each week for the Casa USA apostolate: http://www.chi-usa.com/.
More details about the Casa USA vision, being implemented in the Diocese of Lansing, Michigan, are available on the CHI website, and include:
