CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 28, 2014 /Standard Newswire/ -- Recognizing the incredible challenges faced by law enforcement officers, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team has announced plans to host an inaugural National Law Enforcement Retreat on Oct. 13-15 at The Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, N.C.

The three-day event will focus on addressing the unique emotional and spiritual needs law enforcement officers face. Individuals and married couples will receive encouragement from speakers who have law enforcement backgrounds, as they learn to trust God through traumatic events, stressful situations and in the unique issues faced by officers' families.

"The men and women in law enforcement place their safety on the line every day when they go to work, protecting and serving us," said Jack Munday, international director of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. "The National Law Enforcement Retreat is a way for us to say thank you to them, and help equip them to handle the emotional and spiritual stress that they likely encounter on a daily basis through their service."

Topics that will be covered during the conference sessions and workshops include "Serving and Protecting Your Family," "Spiritual Survival Tactics," and "Surviving the Attack: Post Traumatic Growth with God."

The registration fee for the event is $225 per individual and $395 per married couple, which includes all sessions, materials, food, and lodging (double occupancy).
