ST. LOUIS, October 30 /Standard Newswire/ -- The Black Republican Political Action Committee (BRPAC), announced an aggressive final week campaign in the battleground state of Missouri. The campaign will target African American voters in Kansas City and St. Louis where local prosecutors have threatened to prosecute those who exercise their rights to political speech. BRPAC is running a five-day cable television schedule and Christian/gospel radio ads and sending direct mail to more than 55,000 African American households.
"Missouri is a vitally important state in next Tuesday's election," said Edward Cousar, Executive Director of BRPAC. "Black voters across Missouri have a right to know where Barack Obama stands on cultural issues like abortion."
The BRPAC direct mail and advertising campaign hold Barack Obama accountable for his record on abortion. To view the ads visit www.blackrepublicans08.com. The advertising campaign was announced one day before Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Sarah Palin are scheduled to campaign in Missouri.
"Barack Obama is the most liberal member of the United States Senate and rejects black values when it comes to our God given right to life," continued Cousar. "With nearly one of every two black children being aborted in America, the crisis is acute. We don't need a President with a clear record in support of infanticide."
BRPAC's ads are fully documented including the controversial vote taken by Obama as a member of the Illinois Senate, preventing children who survived abortions from receiving medical attention (the "born alive act").
"St. Louis prosecutors will not intimidate us from engaging in our First Amendment right to political speech," concluded Mr. Cousar. "We will continue to hold Mr. Obama accountable as our donors permit and circumstances dictate."
BRPAC is a Washington, DC based political action committee (PAC). The PAC contributes to African American candidates who share the values of family and economic freedom that have made America the greatest country in the world. BRPAC has more than 15,000 contributors across the country.
