WASHINGTON, March 16, 2021 /Standard Newswire/ -- The vote will take place on Thursday, March 17, before the Senate State Affairs Committee. The bill is SB 1183, "The Fetal Heartbeat Preborn Child Protection Act."
SB 1183 prohibits abortions after a fetal heartbeat can be detected.
The ultrasounds will be performed by our Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Stanton's mobile medical unit on several pregnant women.
The Stanton Mobile Clinic will be parked at the steps of the Capitol, 700 W Jefferson St, from 7:30AM –12:00 PM. Ultrasounds will be performed between 10:30AM -12:00 PM.
State legislators and members of the press are invited to attend the ultrasounds and tour the Stanton Mobile clinic after the Senate Committee vote.
At the Mobile Clinic, the Stanton team will include: Physician Assistant, Samantha Doty, licensed Sonographer, McKinzy Troudt, lead Client Advocate, Angela Dwyer, Director of Operations, Nancy Ferris and Director of Community Outreach, Linda Thomas. They will also be testifying in support of the legislation.
Linda Thomas, Stanton's Director of Community Outreach, states;
"No one deserves to have a voice in the fight for life more than those whose lives are violently ended by abortion. That's why we're excited to bring preborn babies to the Capitol to testify. When the Senate Committee hearing concludes, our licensed Stanton sonographer and Physician Assistant will be available at the Stanton Mobile Clinic as we all celebrate the precious lives of preborn babies via ultrasound...and witness their beating hearts. What could be a more powerful testimony for life?"
Brandi Swindell, Founder and CEO of Stanton Healthcare, comments;
"We want to thank the members of the Senate State Affairs Committee for holding a vote on this powerful and life-saving piece of legislation. We also want to thank the Family Policy Alliance of Idaho for introducing the bill and Right to Life of Idaho along with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise, for supporting it.
"Stanton is honored to have legislators and the press see and hear what we do every day at our clinics. That is, the precious heartbeats of these beautiful children in their mother’s womb. We believe this “Heartbeat Bill” will be a powerful step in bringing an end to abortion violence by giving women medically accurate information and ensuring every child in Idaho is protected and treated with equality."
