SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 8, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ -- Two of the country’s leading African-American pro-lifers, a Doctor/Religious Sister, and an abortion and trauma survivor who now spreads hope will headline the 21st Annual Walk for Life West Coast this year as prolife women, men and children once again rally and Walk for Life in San Francisco on Saturday, January 25, beginning at 12:30PM.

“Twenty-one years ago, we didn’t know what to expect,” said Eva Muntean, co-chair and one of the founders of the Walk for Life West Coast. “Well, what we found was that people of all races, ages, and religions were just looking for an opportunity to choose life! We were amazed by the turnout that first year, and we have grown ever since. Now we fill Civic Center Plaza and the Walk extends for more than a mile of wall-to-wall people as we walk down Market Street!”

He wrote ‘For the desire of young people to give birth to new sons and daughters as a sign of the fruitfulness of their love ensures a future for every society. This is a matter of hope: it is born of hope and it generates hope.’  We agree! Since day one, the Walk has tried to be an avenue to hope!”

This year’s speakers include:

• Ryan Bomberger: Ryan’s biological mother was raped yet courageously gave him a chance to live and the beautiful gift of adoption. He was adopted at 6 weeks and grew up in a loving, multi-“racial” Christian family of 15, ten of whom were also adopted. With siblings of varying ethnicities, he grew up with a great appreciation for diversity. His work has been extensively featured in the New York Times, Fox News, MSNBC, Breitbart, ABC News, The Washington Times, The Washington Post, & others.

• Deirdre “Dede” Byrne: Sister Dede is a member of the Little Workers of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. After attending Virginia Tech for undergraduate study, Sister Dede graduated from Georgetown University Medical School.  After residencies in family medicine and surgery, she pursued a career as a medical doctor in the U.S. Army (including in Afghanistan). She retired as a colonel and professed her final vows as a member of the Little Workers in 2011.

• Kelly Lester: Kelly’s story includes many difficult and painful topics in our world today.  But beauty triumphs from the ashes, and Kelly is a testament to how God can clean all the dirty parts of a painful life story and make it brand new. Now a wife and mother of six, Kelly loves to share her story and to give hope. She is a regular contributor to OAN, Newsmax and Fox News.  She currently works with And Then There Were None, Pro-Love Ministries and Maps Global.

• Clenard Childress Jr. has spoken at almost every Walk West for Life Coast since its founding. A life-long resident of Montclair, New Jersey, and pastor of New Calvary Baptist Church he is a tireless advocate for the Right to Life for all Americans, with a special emphasis on eliminating the scourge of abortion from the African American community. The founder of BlackGenocide.org, he was profiled in PBS’s Frontline documentary “Anti-Abortion Crusaders inside the African American Abortion Battle.”
