OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Oct. 12, 2021 /Standard Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Rich Bott, Chairman & CEO of Bott Radio Network:
Late last night I received word that one of our longest serving BRN colleagues passed into Eternity, due to a motorcycle accident.
Paul Sublett faithfully served the Lord by fulfilling his role at Bott Radio Network for 37 years. He began as a Studio Operator in 1984. Over the years he also served as Engineer, Operations Manager and then Station Manager. During his tenure Paul oversaw the growth of BRN in Oklahoma from one 250 Watt AM daytime station, to 12 stations serving the state 24/7 including one of the biggest coverage AM stations and a 100,000 watt FM station from a 1,000 foot tower. All of them proclaiming the Truth of God's Word across Oklahoma.
Paul died doing something he loved. He was on a motorcycle road trip vacation with his son, brother and a family friend through the scenic eastern Tennessee area when the accident took his life. (None of the others were involved in the accident.) We honor Paul's service. And I am thankful for his friendship.
Please join us in praying for Paul's wife Mary, son Joey, and daughters Jessica and Jennifer as they grieve the loss of Paul. Information concerning funeral arrangements is not available at this time.
Please also pray for our BRN colleagues in Oklahoma that the Lord will bless them as they build on the work to which Paul devoted his life. Joseph Palmer has been appointed to oversee the Oklahoma operations on an interim basis.
