PORTLAND, Ore., June 6, 2019 /Standard Newswire/ -- Open Door Communication Ministries, Inc. is set to commemorate the 25th Year Anniversary of its From Slavery To Victory Education Project (FSTVEP) this Juneteenth. The FSTVEP was launched on Juneteenth 1994 with the national broadcast of its flagship Radio Special, From Slavery To Victory: One Man's Journey written and produced by the Ministry's Founder/President, Rev. Robert Kelley. As part of the celebration, the Silver Angel Award winning Radio Special will be Webcast on https://fromslaverytovictory.org/ which has been revamped for the occasion beginning Juneteenth at 4PM, PT.
The FSTVEP is unique as one of the first Christian black American led Media Ministry created efforts to present a biblical worldview of the black American experience beginning with West African enslavement to the present. In addition to glorifying God for His grace, the project seeks to help black Americans process His purposeful activity in their painful experience through the lens of a sound biblical understanding of His good intent for them as victors not victims! The vision is to see black Americans walk in the full freedom, life and victory of Jesus Christ!
The Web Site features thought provoking commentaries and articles written by Rev. Kelley to promote healing, hope and offer help to especially black men struggling still with the many mental and emotional legacies of slavery and racism. Resources include a Commemorative Cassette of the Radio Special and accompanying Study Guide for family and local church use as well as a Bible Tract entitled, Does God Care About African Americans? that is part of a special photo illustrated Web Site feature called The Journey. More information about the FSTVEP from Rev. Kelley is available using the supplied contact information.
