There will also be a rally in support of "Baby Joseph's" family on Saturday from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Location to be announced.
Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, recently traveled to Canada and met and prayed with the family pledging support and connecting them to legal assistance and helping them locate a hospital for Joseph in America.
Rev. Mahoney comments:
- "Nobel Peace Prize winner and Holocaust survivor Ellie Wiesel said, 'I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.'
"We are gathering for prayer and public witness as we stand in solidarity with Baby Joseph and his family. We will not be silent when it comes to this tragic crushing of human rights and we will take sides for justice. We must always speak out with passion and courage when we see the dignity of human life trampled.
"We support the family as the ones who should be making the final decision on how to best deal with this beautiful child. The courts and the hospital have completely disregarded the wishes of the family and are crushing their parental rights.
"We encourage all to be in continued prayer for 'Baby Joseph' and the family and join us on March 5 and 6 in London, Ontario for this witness for life."
