Evangelist Andrew Palau to Share Gospel in Sunbury, England at Outdoor Festival this Weekend

SUNBURY, UK, June 15, 2018 /Standard Newswire/ -- Evangelist Andrew Palau, son of Luis Palau, will share the Gospel at the upcoming "Joy @ Kempton Park" event on June 17 in Sunbury, England.
"Church leaders came together and asked us for help in sharing the Good News of Jesus in their area," The Palau Association's UK Director Dave Plowman said, "of course we were thrilled."
Organized by the local evangelical community and spearheaded by St. Saviour's Church in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, the event will feature performances by a variety of musical artists leading up to a clear Gospel message from Palau. The Bishop of Kensington, Graham Tomlin, will also attend to lead in a prayer.
While England seems to be at an all-time low in Christian population and regular church attendance, this festival has seemed to catch fire in the local community. The planning committee is optimistic and expectant of a crowd of nearly 5,000 – rare for an event of this kind.
"We want to see people come to know Jesus," said Rowena Cross of St. Saviour's Church in Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey. Cross is the church's director of mission, evangelism, and discipleship. "We also want to see people who already know Jesus have their faith fired up."
The event is part of a larger plan for 2020. The Palau team is praying for a South West London festival in 2020 in partnership with God-willing, all of the churches in this area.
