BOERNE, Texas, Feb. 28, 2012 /Standard Newswire/ -- Nine-year-old Natasha Leininger is working again with Uganda Tree of Life Ministries (UTOL). Last year, she raised $25,000 to build a school in Uganda by hosting a Read-a-thon and speaking engagements. In September, she had the opportunity to travel to Uganda for the dedication of the school. While there, she saw the many needs of orphans. So, this year she has set her goal to raise $60,000 to start a children's village for orphans. Knowing that there are 2.7 million orphans in Uganda, Natasha commented to her school after she returned from Africa, "It isn't about reaching the multitudes, it is about reaching the individual God has placed in our path." Over the summer, Natasha and her seven-year-old sister, Kendall, spoke at a national school convention to make the Read-a-thon a national event this year.

The Read-a-thon has impacted many children in America as well. Hundreds of children heard what Natasha accomplished through the media and decided to hold their own events wanting to help children less fortunate. One child raised $8,000 for water wells, another collected clothes for a local orphanage and countless others helped to make this world a brighter place. Natasha and Kendall want to get the word out to American children that they can make a difference in this world. It can be with a neighbor, friend, elderly person at a nursing home, community group or orphan care. The list is endless.

Natasha and Kendall enjoy speaking to groups to share their desires to help children in Uganda and to motivate people to step up and have passion in their lives. Kendall has been raising animals and then selling them and using the money to buy animals for families in need. Natasha and Kendall are currently lining up speaking engagements to both kids and adults in schools, churches, foundations, Universities and social and service organizations.

UTOL has been in existence since 1998 and working alongside the people of Uganda in education, health care, churches, men and women's ministries, self-sustaining projects, child sponsorship program and much more.

For requesting Natasha and Kendall to come and speak or wanting to host a Read-a-thon please contact Richelle Mazur at RMazur@LeadMeInternational.org or 210-325-5037. To learn more about UTOL go to www.UTOL.org.
