WASHINGTON, Sept. 13, 2023 /Standard Newswire/ -- FRC Action announced today that former Congressman and Family Research Council's Senior Vice President Jody Hice will serve as the new president of FRC Action, the legislative affiliate of Family Research Council. Hice previously represented the 10th congressional district of Georgia from 2015 to 2023. Tony Perkins, who continues to serve as president of Family Research Council, will become FRC Action's chairman.
FRC Action Chairman Tony Perkins commented on Hice's new role at FRC Action:
"Before he was even elected to Congress, Jody Hice fought with us to advance public policy from a biblical worldview and has been a valuable addition to our team. His lifetime of ministry both in the church and then on Capitol Hill, combined with his passion for faith, family, and freedom, will greatly enhance FRC Action's effectiveness and impact on the coming 2024 election cycle and beyond. I am excited and grateful to have Jody helping to lead the incredible team we have at FRC Action."
Hice released the following statement:
"I believe we are in many ways in the fight of our life for this country, morally and spiritually especially, as we approach the pivotal 2024 elections. Now more than ever, we are tasked with defending all things regarding faith, family, and freedom. The spiritual aspect of this work has always been a priority for me, and it's a joy to be serving at Family Research Council and FRC Action, organizations with an impeccable reputation. I am so honored to be serving as FRC Action's new president."
