DELTONA, Fla., Oct. 28 /Standard Newswire/ -- Imagine, black rappers who are not "down" with Obama's agenda. There are young punk rockers saying "Hell No" to Obama bankrupting their future. From Country to R&B to Rock & Roll and every other musical genre in between, June 5, 2010, Conservative musicians from across America gathered in unity at a Florida studio for a historic recording session. Their mission is to take back their country and support the families of fallen U.S. military.
The project is titled, "Tea Are the World".
Lloyd Marcus, the author of Confessions of a Black Conservative and musician with the Tea Party Express says, "On three national Tea Party Express bus tours, numerous musicians have approached me with CDs of their original songs, protesting Obama, celebrating the greatness of America, honoring our military and defending our values; all eager to be involved in the infectious Tea Party Movement."
On Tea Party Express III tour, Marcus talked with a member of the TPX team/family, Gold Star Mom, Debbie Lee, the president of AmericasMightyWarriors.org. The nonprofit aids the families of U.S. military fallen soldiers. Lee's highly decorated son, Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy Seal killed in Iraq. Lee candidly shared with me her fund raising challenges.
Marcus wrote a song and invited conservative musicians across America to record it. In the recording style of the original "We Are the World", various artists, 100 in all, joined in singing. The recording benefits AmericasMightyWarriors.org. For Marcus, "This project fulfills two purposes: to unite conservative artists across America and assist Debbie Lee's need for funding."
Along with the group recording of, "Taking Back America", Marcus expanded the project to include 40 songs selected from hundreds of submissions. "Tea Are the World" was born. The "Tea Are the World" package includes: Lloyd Marcus and the Patriot Singers singing "Taking Back America", two discs of 40 conservative songs covering numerous genres and a DVD of the "Tea Are the World" music video and the Making of "Tea Are the World" Documentary.
"We were extremely fortunate," says Marcus "to land the owner of Deltona Records, master music producer/engineer, Frank Starchak." Starchak has produced artists like Tupac Shakur and the Osmonds. He recorded and edited the soloists and 100 voice choir on the song, "Taking Back America". Starchak also mastered the 40 other songs included on the two music discs in the "Tea Are the World" package while legendary singer/songwriter Tom Snow, who has written hits for Cher, Barry Manilow, and The Pointer Sisters, also contributed a song to "Tea Are the World."
