TBN Announces Winner of Special Holy Land Trip Giveaway

Contact: Colby May, TBN, 202-544-5171, cmay@tbn.org

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 28, 2012 /Standard Newswire/ -- Trinity Broadcasting Network has announced the winner of its all-expense-paid trip for two to the Holy Land. Frank Amador of Miami, Florida was randomly selected via an independent company from the nearly 13,000 individuals who registered for the giveaway through TBN's Facebook page. He and his wife, Iris, will accompany TBN's Matt and Laurie Crouch, internationally renowned Bible teacher Joseph Prince, and over 1,800 participants from the U.S., Asia, Europe, and Africa as they embark September 4 on a ten-day excursion to Israel and the Holy Land.

"We are thrilled about the number of people who registered for a chance to win this trip with TBN on Facebook," said Matt Crouch, TBN's Vice President of Administration. "And we're truly excited for the Amadors as they join TBN's extended family for this once-in-a-lifetime trip to the land of the Bible."

Mr. Amador, an attorney, said that he and Iris have been deeply blessed and impacted by TBN's programming. "We've watched for years on Channel 45 in Miami," he said, "and lately I've been catching a lot of programs right on my iPhone." He said that from the many ministry programs, to the shows on health and nutrition, TBN is a source of both information and inspiration.

In 2010 Mr. Amador made a run for the state legislature in Florida, and said that he plans to run for a U.S. congressional seat in the future. He pointed out that the messages he heard from men like Rod Parsley and the late Dr. D. James Kennedy, both TBN programmers, strongly impacted him. "Both of these men emphasized the importance of God's people having influence in the public square," he said. "That encouragement influenced me to run for office and make a difference in my community."

Mr. Amador added the the upcoming trip to Israel will be a first for him and his wife. "This is a dream come true for both of us," he said, "and we're excited to be able to go with TBN."
