ATLANTA, Jan. 19, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — During its Martin Luther King Jr. Day press conference, VoterGA presented Voting System Security Recommendations prepared for the Georgia House Elections Study Committee. Co-founder Garland Favorito contrasted the voting rights struggle led by the Atlanta civil rights leader to today’s struggle that focuses on secure elections. He argued that “Voting rights don’t stop at the ballot box” and noted U.S. Supreme Court rulings that affirm vote counting rights and protections against vote dilution.

The new VoterGA 80-page study that has national implications is structured in sections:

● A Table of Conclusions;

● A historical perspective of relevant Georgia security issues and vote count failures;

● Federal and state legal compliance issues;

● Distinguishing fake vs. real solutions;

● Proposed Georgia code changes to implement the solutions.

Favorito cited roughly 20 election integrity improvements that the Georgia General Assembly has accomplished since the questionable 2020 election but explained that more work must be done to secure Georgia elections. He specified ten critical recommendations:

● Adopt hand-marked paper ballots with publicly recorded hand counts (SB303);

● Remove the Electronic Registration and Information Center interface to protect our Personal Identifying Information from being outsourced to partisan third parties (HB215);

● Bring voter roll data back in-house from an unsecure Salesforce cloud;

● Establish a statewide election court for all election cases and challenges;

● Incorporate fraud prevention methods such as ballot IDs, public voter lists;

● Mandate clean voter roll procedures and impose penalties on non-compliant counties;

● Mandate “No-excuse,” free, timely, public access to ballots;

● Replace fraud-prone mail-in voting with designated, identified ballot deliverers;

● Require ballots to be received by Election Day for compliance and fraud prevention;

● Fully fund the State Election Board and make it completely independent.

Favorito denounced our current secretly counted elections using secret proprietary software with secretly preserved ballots as imposing “electoral slavery that encumbers all ethnicities and both genders.” He contends that the voting rights revolution is unfinished and America needs a new Voting Rights Act such as H.R. 4798, the Make Elections Secure Again Act, that is currently in Congress.

VoterGA is a non-partisan, 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization created by a coalition of citizens working to restore election integrity in Georgia. We advocate for independently verifiable, auditable, recount capable, transparent and tamper proof elections.
