The Rural Resilience Summit brings together leaders and service providers to address challenges facing rural regions while highlighting practical approaches to recovery, leadership development, and community support.
Many rural communities face limited access to recovery resources, workforce shortages, and economic pressures that can create barriers to stability. This event provides a space for collaboration, shared insight, and solutions that strengthen families and communities.
Paul Reed’s work in recovery advocacy is deeply personal. After overcoming addiction, he committed his life to helping others find freedom and purpose. Through Hope in the Valley and Roofers in Recovery, he has helped develop programs that guide individuals toward healing, stability, and long-term success.
During the summit, Reed will share his recovery journey and insights into building programs that restore lives and strengthen communities, emphasizing perseverance, mentorship, and accountability.
Kim Reed will present the vision behind Hope in the Valley and the importance of developing sustainable recovery communities. Her work focuses on creating structured environments where individuals can rebuild their lives and discover renewed purpose.
Dr. Gogarty will provide medical insight into addiction and recovery, offering a clinical perspective on treatment, prevention, and long-term outcomes in rural communities.
Anne Kelly will address the role of the justice system in prevention and recovery efforts, highlighting how community partnerships can support individuals and families affected by substance use.
Organizers believe rural communities, while facing unique challenges, also possess strong foundations of faith, family, and leadership. The summit seeks to build on these strengths by encouraging collaboration and practical action.
Attendees will have opportunities to learn from experienced speakers, connect with others in recovery and community development, and explore ways to strengthen support systems for individuals and families.
