OPINION, Oct. 14, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — Papua New Guinea declares itself officially a Christian nation. The country recently updated their constitution including this addition to the preamble:
[We the people . . .] “acknowledge and declare God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as our Creator and sustainer of the entire universe and the source of our Powers and Authorities, delegated to the people and all persons living within the geographical jurisdiction of Papua New Guinea”
* Notice also the initial reports misquoted the text and mistakenly omitted the word “the” from “the Holy Spirit” BUT take a close look at the rest! See all the changes (in blue on the free scribd hyperlink to the pdf) to the Papua New Guinea constitution. There are many there that Christians should all take a look at and maybe learn from.

This is all very notable and encouraging as news! Also exciting is that Papua New Guinea is among the most culturally and linguistically diverse nations on the planet per capita (e.g. 820 languages and country of 10 million) contradicting the stereotypes of Christian nationalism. Also, further contradicting stereotypes—it is only 0.02 percent white as well. It would be very beneficial if the USA formalized in the same way its historical status as a Christian country in more detail as the very diverse non-white country of Papua New Guinea did. Everyone would benefit. Think of a country in which Love rules in more hearts. Remember why this benefits everyone: because Love never works evil to a neighbor. And more people will abide by that Word and the teaching that love never returns evil for evil but good instead. Also, more will gain the power to avoid sinning and realize God always provides a way to endure a test or temptation and thus avoid or escape sin. How much better would the country be for everyone! Non-Christians too as what safer place could there be? Even Richard Dawkins, famous atheist and church critic/debater, recently admitted he would rather live in a Christian country than anywhere else.
This is just meant as a public service announcement. This is not a paid or sponsored post–there is no gain monetarily by providing for the distribution of this news item—just a better future and country.
