NASHVILLE, March 19, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — Acclaimed documentary filmmaker Darren Wilson has announced his newest feature documentary, “Kingdom,” a sweeping global film exploring one of the most talked-about — and often misunderstood — ideas at the center of Jesus’ teaching: the Kingdom of God.
Wilson, the filmmaker behind “Finger of God,” “Father of Lights,” “Holy Ghost,” and “The God Man,” has spent more than two decades traveling the world capturing stories of faith in action. With “Kingdom,” his tenth feature documentary, he turns his focus to the message that shaped Jesus’ ministry — asking what it looks like when that message is lived out today.
Blending theological insight with real-world stories, “Kingdom” will feature conversations with theologians, authors, and ministry leaders alongside individuals whose lives have been transformed by their understanding of God’s reign at work in the world. Confirmed participants include theologian R.T. Kendall and commentator David Harris Jr.
Filming will take viewers to unexpected places across the globe — from tech startups and prisons to Himalayan villages and the deserts of Australia — exploring how faith is reshaping communities in radically different contexts.
“Jesus talked about many things, but everything ultimately pointed back to the Kingdom of God,” filmmaker Darren Wilson said. “This film is about exploring what that looks like when people attempt to live it out — not just in theory, but on the ground.”
Production will begin later this year, with the documentary targeting a Spring 2027 release.
To support the film’s early production phase, the team has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund initial filming, travel, and production costs. Supporters will receive behind-the-scenes updates as the project develops.
