HARARE, Zimbabwe, Oct. 9, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — In a massive effort to share hope with hundreds of thousands around Zimbabwe, Palau partnered with more than 5,400 churches from every denomination to put on the Love Zimbabwe Festival. The Love Zimbabwe Festival demonstrated the extraordinary impact that can happen when thousands of churches and believers unite with one purpose: to share the hope of Jesus Christ.

The campaign—led by evangelists Andrew and Wendy Palau—featured gatherings throughout the region, reaching every sector of society. For the lead-up to the festival in the capital city of Harare, Palau took to sharing the Good News in eyeglass clinics, a women’s dinner, sports clinics, school outreaches, a business and civic leaders event, a women’s conference, and more. All this was in anticipation of the free, three-day festival at Freedom Grounds on September 26-28. In total, the Love Zimbabwe Festival and ministry week reached more than 258,600 people in person with the Good News and led more than 139,700 people in a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

The culminating three-day festival featured music and live performances from Ada Ehi, Trinity Choir, Romac, Cleo Arie, Boys of Thunder, and more. In addition to the musical line-up from the mainstage, the family-friendly festival incorporated a children’s area, which included clowns, bounce houses, face paint, a water slide, and a special program for kids, as well as action sports demonstrations (featuring The Stunt Dudes). Andrew Palau highlighted the program each night by sharing a clear Gospel message from the main stage and challenging those in the crowd to give their life to Jesus Christ. More than 4,700 local believers helped counsel and follow up with new believers at the festival. This united movement brought together Christians of many denominations from every corner of the city, reflecting the strength of the body of Christ when working as one.

Harare’s story is just one chapter in a nationwide movement of evangelism reshaping Zimbabwe. In other regions, Palau’s Global Network of Evangelists (GNE) mobilized hundreds of evangelists, pastors, and volunteers across four key areas—Chinhoyi, Gweru, Bulawayo, and beyond. From citywide festivals to youth-driven Simuka gatherings, border outreaches in Chirundu, and creative community expressions of hope, the campaign showed the power of the Gospel at work through unity and innovation.

More than 184 evangelists from seven nations joined Zimbabwean leaders in pioneering new models of proclamation and digital engagement. Hundreds of others were equipped through the Advance three-year evangelism curriculum.

Through the wider Love Zimbabwe campaign, including the efforts in Harare, more than 729,000 individuals were reached in person, with over 237,500 making a decision to follow Christ.

On top of the plethora of on-the-ground events that took place in Zimbabwe, the team also spearheaded an innovative digital evangelism strategy, sharing the Good News of Jesus through targeted social media ads. Through Palau’s digital evangelism strategy, more than 768,000 people have been reached with Gospel ads throughout Zimbabwe, with 8,228 indicated decisions for Jesus Christ.

The Love Zimbabwe campaign stands as a vivid reminder of what’s possible when the Church collaborates across regions, generations, and nations to proclaim Christ with creativity, courage, and compassion. Entire cities—and even nations—can be touched by the hope of Christ. One clear example is how, for the first time, the four major ministerial alliance groups (Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Council of Churches, Catholics, and Union for the Development of Apostolic Churches in Zimbabwe Africa) are discussing doing an annual unified evangelistic event.

While local leaders begin the follow-up and discipleship process with new believers, Palau will move on to support similar campaigns in cities across the globe. Upcoming outreaches include campaigns in Egypt, Argentina, Spain, and more.
