“To end the abortion genocide, we must create social tension as Dr. King so forcefully taught in his Letter from a Birmingham Jail. We must be courageous and sacrificial in our pursuit of justice for the unborn.” – Randall Terry

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Nov. 11, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — Randall Terry, the Founder of Operation Rescue, is organizing what is likely the largest peaceful civil disobedience protest for unborn babies in over 30 years. Operation Rescue (AKA the Rescue Movement) was the largest peaceful civil disobedience movement in the history of the United States, with over 75,000 arrests from 1987 to 1994.
This new initiative, called Rescue Resurrection, will begin in Memphis, TN, December 3-5th. Memphis is the city where Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was brutally assassinated and the home of the National Civil Rights Museum, highlighting the connection between civil disobedience and changing unjust laws.
Training will begin December 3rd at a newly acquired campus in historic Memphis which will host Rescue Resurrection’s training. (See photos at www.RescueResurrection.com). The event will include musical performances, testimonies, training, and will conclude with peaceful civil disobedience at Planned Parenthood on December 5th. Hundreds are expected to attend.
Speakers and partnering organizations include:
Sister Dede Byrne, Military Surgeon, Activist, Nun (Spoke at Republican Convention.)
Dr. Alveda King (special video message from the niece of Martin Luther King)
Pastor Stephen Broden, Vice Presidential Candidate, Constitution Party, 2024
Joan Andrews Bell, Gloria Dei, Trump Pardonee
Dr. Monica Migliorino Miller, Author, Red Rose Rescue
Father Fidelis Moszchinski, Red Rose Rescue, Trump Pardonee
Terrisa Bukovinac, Founder Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising
Constance Becker, Justice Activist
Today, abortion is no longer in the top ten issues facing voters. In 1987 abortion was also not a top ten issue, but the advent of Operation Rescue culminated in thousands of arrests, and by election day in 1988 abortion became the number one issue.
Like the former Operation Rescue, Rescue Resurrection will encourage peaceful protests and peaceful civil disobedience when appropriate to harness the necessary social tension to make abortion a top issue again.
Large Rescues ended in 1994 when the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (F.A.C.E) became law, making it a federal crime to blockade an abortion facility. In January President Trump pardoned 23 pro-lifers who were serving long federal prison terms under F.A.C.E. for peaceful civil disobedience at abortion facilities.
In January the United States Department of Justice announced they would cease virtually all FACE Act prosecutions, providing an opportunity for pro-lifers to engage in peaceful civil disobedience once again without the threat of federal prison.
It is noteworthy that between 1966 and 1999 nonviolent civil resistance played a significant role in fifty of sixty-seven transitions of power across the globe.
Since FACE was enacted in 1994 an estimated 30 million unborn children have been murdered by abortion.
It’s time for a Rescue Resurrection. See www.RescueResurrection.com for more details.
