Trey Hildebrant

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 4, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — First Baptist Orlando is pleased to announce Trey Hildebrant as our new Senior Teaching Pastor, a key component of the church’s newly adopted “Table of Three” leadership model. His arrival marks a new season of shared senior pastoral leadership designed to cultivate teaching excellence, deepen pastoral care, and strengthen ministry in Central Florida and beyond. Trey was prayerfully selected by a member led search team that conducted a national search during the past 12 months.

Hildebrant joins Dr. David Uth, who has faithfully served the Orlando community through First Orlando for the past 20 years. As Trey steps into the role of primary communicator on Sundays, David will continue to serve as one of the church’s three Senior Pastors, transitioning into his new position as Senior Shepherding Pastor. He will serve alongside Senior Executive Pastor Danny de Armas, who has been a part of the church’s leadership for 17 years. Together, this trio will share leadership equally at the same table, modeling unity, mutual submission, and complementary strengths as they guide First Orlando into its next chapter.

About Trey Hildebrant

• A third-generation pastor, Trey was born and raised in Georgia and comes with a strong legacy of ministry.

• He has been married to his wife Sarah for nearly 13 years; they are parents to three boys.

• Trey began ministry as a student pastor in 2008 and has served most recently as Pastor of Ministries at 12Stone Church (a multisite church outside Atlanta) for 11 years.

• His academic credentials include a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Truett McConnell University and a Masters in Apologetics from Luther Rice Seminary.

• Beyond his ministry, he enjoys running, reading, following Atlanta sports, and cheering for the Florida State Seminoles.

Leadership Model & Vision
First Orlando’s “Table of Three” model reflects a commitment to shared oversight and collaborative governance. According to the church’s announcement:

“We believe the Table of Three is rooted in the past, ready for the future, and formed by relationship at its core.”

Each pastor holds the title of Senior Pastor with unique emphases:

• David Uth — Senior Shepherding Pastor (pastoral care, prayer, presence)

• Danny de Armas — Senior Executive Pastor (operations, staff oversight, organizational leadership)

• Trey Hildebrant — Senior Teaching Pastor (pulpit ministry, doctrinal clarity, biblical instruction)

The model is intentionally designed to carry the weight of leadership together, guard against burnout, and position the church for long-term health and impact.

What This Means for the Orlando Region
With 6 campuses located across Central Florida (including John Young, Horizon West, DeBary, and Ocoee, and Hispanic and Brazilian/Portuguese Campuses), First Orlando is becoming increasingly multisite, multilingual, and multigenerational, reflecting the diversity of the region it serves.

Hildebrant’s arrival brings fresh teaching leadership at a time when the church is poised for growth and deeper gospel engagement throughout the city. His gift of biblical communication, combined with his heart for the local church, positions him to help shape the congregation’s journey toward being “Growing Followers, Empowering Leaders, Generous Friends and Relational Influencers.”

Quote from Search Team Chair
John Bozard, Chair of the Senior Teaching Pastor Search Team, shared:

“What an honor and privilege it has been to serve. Our new model of shared leadership will prepare us to better serve our members and the community by allowing us to keep ‘the main thing the main thing.’ With the addition of Trey Hildebrant we will continue to be taught each Sunday more and more about God’s Word.”

Invitation to the Community
First Orlando invites the Central Florida community to join in welcoming Pastor Trey and his family, to visit any of its campuses, and to engage with this new season of ministry. The church encourages all to participate in Sunday gatherings and to explore how the “Table of Three” leadership model is guiding the church’s mission together.
