SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 7, 2025 /Standard Newswire/ — Bullying, drugs and moral decline are pressing challenges in public schools worldwide, and Romanian youth are not immune — struggling under a secular system that often leaves students without hope.

For eight years, Assured Hope Ministries, based in Arad, Romania, has been working diligently to bring light into the darkness by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with elementary, middle and high school students. The ministry’s latest milestone is the opening of Adamant International, the first English-speaking Christian private school in Arad, last month. This new school provides Accelerated Christian Curriculum (A.C.E.) instruction in English, reading, writing and mathematics, while integrating the most important foundation — Christian values and biblical teaching.

“The Lord has opened many doors for us to provide a life-changing educational experience that integrates academic excellence with spiritual growth,” said Billy Miller, who co-founded Assured Hope Ministries with his wife, Oana. “By offering classes in English, we aim to equip students with valuable language skills, while also shaping character and instilling a sense of purpose through Christian values woven into the curriculum.”

Children attend daily classes, and changes are already evident in their lives and families. Many in Romania hope that this school will one day expand across the nation, which continues to bear the cultural weight of its communist past.

The Millers shared that God’s provision has gone far beyond the classroom. Before the school’s opening, the ministry distributed dozens of backpacks filled with school supplies to children in poverty-stricken communities.

“One mother of seven told us she was praying for school supplies,” Billy Miller recalled. “She said her family was preparing to sell their only cow to afford backpacks. At just the right time, God provided those supplies through Assured Hope. The Lord is our Provider, and He will meet every need through Jesus Christ.”

Oana Miller added, “It was such a blessing to put smiles on children’s faces. Something as simple as a backpack gave them hope and reminded them that God sees their needs.”

In addition to the new school, Assured Hope Ministries runs The Refuge Youth Center, provides Vacation Bible School (VBS) and summer camps, hosts Bible studies for underprivileged children, and continues its Ukraine Mission to serve those suffering in the ongoing war.

“Our mission is simple,” said Billy Miller. “We want to bring the hope and light of the Gospel into places of darkness. In a world where so many young people are lost, God has called us to be His hands and feet in Romania.”
