WASHINGTON, March 26, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — It is deeply troubling the Trump Administration has not addressed basic issues of human rights, religious freedom, ending violence against women and fundamental democratic reforms for the people of Iran in any peace plan proposal.

Simply said, there can be no lasting peace for Iran that ignores freedom activists being slaughtered, female nurses being raped, young people being publicly executed by hanging, Christians and other religious minorities imprisoned and persecuted, and no basic human rights for the Iranian people.

Alexei Laushkin, Founder of Kingdom Mission Society, states:

“I welcome these plans for peace, but such a peace should take place with the interests of the Iranian people in mind. Iran should release political prisoners, guarantee religious and cultural freedoms, and agree to real reforms as a part of any long-term peace.”

Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, comments:

“Simply said, there can no lasting peace for Iran that ignores freedom activists being slaughtered in the streets by the thousands, female nurses being raped for providing medical care for injured demonstrators, young people being publicly executed by hanging, Christians and other religious minorities being imprisoned and persecuted, and there being a lack of basic human rights for the Iranian people.

“The most troubling aspect of President Trump’s proposed peace plan is this: It overlooks and ignores the plight of the Iranian people themselves. This is not a blueprint for peace at all.”
