DALLAS, March 2, 2026 /Standard Newswire/ — Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) will surpass 20,000 alumni worldwide at its May 8, 2026, commencement, marking a significant milestone in the seminary’s history and global ministry impact.
Founded in 1924, DTS reached its first 10,000 alumni during its summer graduation in 2000. Less than three decades later, the seminary is poised to double that number—reflecting sustained growth and the expanding reach of its graduates.
DTS alumni serve across the US and around the world, working across a wide range of vocations including pastoral ministry, counseling, education, missions, nonprofit leadership, and roles in the marketplace. Approximately 80 percent of DTS alumni remain active in ministry, and alumni impact continues to be the leading influence cited by incoming students in their decision to attend the seminary.
“Dallas Theological Seminary’s network of alumni serving in all fifty states and over one hundred countries reflects the seminary’s long-standing global influence,” said Greg Hatteberg, Executive Director of Alumni Services. “Through comprehensive theological training across all sixty-six books of the Bible, DTS graduates advance the seminary’s mission to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders who proclaim his Word and build up the body of Christ worldwide.”
The milestone highlights the enduring legacy of DTS and the collective impact of its alumni community, whose service continues to strengthen churches, organizations, and communities around the world.
